Nu metal band Korn will be hitting up Austin’s Germania Insurance Amphitheater towards the end of the summer on Saturday, August 22nd. Doors to the event open at 6:00pm and the show will begin at 7:00pm with opening performances by Spotlights, Scars on Broadway and fellow metal band Faith No More. Get your general admission tickets early for just $29.50. Ticket prices will increase as the show draws near.
Korn have been making cathartic angst-ridden music since their formation in the early 90’s, and are known for pioneering the nu metal genre and bringing it to the mainstream. Their 1994 self-titled debut album changed the world by shamelessly exposing the darker side of consciousness, a generation undergoing a coming-of-angst experience. They have continued to push the limits of alternative metal and rock throughout their musical career up to their latest album The Nothing which was released in September of last year. Since forming, Korn has sold 40 million albums all over the world, won two Grammy awards, toured the world several times over and created a whole new musical movement.
